Random Ridge

Random Ridge is a breathtaking summer “cottage” located on a wooded slope high above the quiet side of Northeast Harbor. This inviting retreat offers a home base with easy access to Acadia National Park and the surrounding towns. The peaceful setting and well-appointed home make this a magical spot day and night.

Located next to the Land and Garden Preserve, the home is a two-minute walk from numerous trails. There are paths leading to Northeast Harbor, to the Asticou public dock, and to two gorgeous gardens. These trails join with the many trails and carriage roads criss-crossing Acadia National Park. Some of our favorite days include a morning visit to the Azalea Garden, a walk to Little Long Pond or a hike to the Jordan Pond house for popovers. A quieter day could include a morning stroll to Thuya garden up the road, lunch on the porch enjoying the picture-postcard view of Northeast Harbor, and evening cocktails watching the lights come on in the harbor.
